ACB arrests a police officer in a corruption case of Rs 30,000 | Pune News


Pune: State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Pune on Sunday arrested Deputy Deputy Inspector Sandipan Mali (56) of Baramati City Police on charges of accepting a bribe of 30,000 rupees to file a favorable indictment.
An ACB officer said the complainant’s wife filed a complaint against an illegal money lender. “Mali had requested 40,000 rupees from the complainant to file an indictment in favor of his wife’s complaint. He later accepted 30,000 rupees, ”the officer said.
He said after receiving the complaint, a trap was set near the police station. “We caught him in the act of accepting the money,” he said.

State Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Arrests Foreman And Driver Of Pune Municipal Company (PMC) For Accepting Rs 10,000 Bribe From 36-Year-Old PMC Contract Employee to allow him to work nights and stop his transfer. The two were trapped on Saturday evening near the Vishrambaug parish office.
Foreman Ravi Londhe and garbage truck driver Harshal Adagale are assigned to Vishrambaug Wada’s office, ACB said.
According to the ACB, the two men demanded a bribe of Rs 15,000 from the contract worker, but eventually settled Rs 10,000. Adagale accepted the bribe at Londhe’s request.
Last week, ACB detectives arrested a talathi from Charholi Budruk in Haveli Taluka, while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 to update a 12/7 extract.
