Paul Pogba will not be sold until the end of the transfer window with Manchester United determined to tie him to a new deal.
The French star who won the World Cup is at the end of his contract next summer and Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.
SunSport revealed on Tuesday that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is confident the midfielder, 28, will sign a new deal.
Solskjaer said: “I expect him to be here on September 1.”
In more transfer information, Amad Diallo appears destined to leave Manchester United on loan this summer, but he apparently only wants to join one Premier League club.
That would rule out Sheffield United and Atalanta, who are said to be interested.
Instead, the young winger could join Crystal Palace, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.
But several other clubs are believed to be suing Diallo, who dropped the pecking order after Jadon Sancho arrived at Old Trafford.
Elsewhere, Chelsea could hijack Manchester United’s attempts to sign Saul Niguez, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Saul’s future is in serious doubt as Atletico need to raise funds from player sales to balance the books and it looks like they are ready to cash in after the arrival of Rodrigo de Paul from Udinese more early this summer.
United reportedly held talks with the Spaniard’s agent earlier this month over a possible move to Old Trafford.
But now Chelsea could pounce on Saul with Thomas Tuchel reportedly keen to strengthen his midfield options.
