The University of Punjabi has launched an online portal to collect department related data for NAAC Ranking. The university was accredited with five stars in 2016, which is valid until 2023. Currently, the university is preparing for the NAAC-4 accreditation cycle for the next year.

The NAAC has changed the criteria, in which 70% of the evaluation is done online based on quantitative metric data, which consists of approximately 56 e-matrix data.

University officials said it was cumbersome to collect data, including student progress, infrastructure, teaching and learning, best practices followed by the university, its manual distinction of all departments at the main campus, regional centers, district campuses, chairs and research centers, as well as the administrative offices of the university.

During a meeting held recently, Satish Mittal and Rakesh Dawra, members of the IQAC technical team, discussed the difficulties and problems encountered by them while filling in the AQAR 2021 data on the site. NAAC website.

They said that Sudhir Arora, Senior Programmer, IQAC Technical Team, had developed a website for collecting this data from all university stakeholders for compiling the Self-Assessment Report (SSR ) for the NAAC-4 accreditation cycle scheduled for 2023. .

Sudhir Arora informed that the website was developed in-house at zero cost with open source technologies. Hosting of the website on the university’s server was handled by the team itself, he said.

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Punjabi, Prof. Arvind has released the website for all departments to upload their respective data.
