Monday, September 20
1 p.m. ET – The American Bar Association will host a webinar titled “Cyber ââSecurity and Data Privacy: Understanding the Basics for Ethically and Safely Practicing (and Outsourcing).” The panel will explore customer electronic data processing obligations, steps to secure customer data and what to look out for when outsourcing.
Wednesday September 22
10 a.m. (CT) – The Institute of Law and Technology at the Center for American and International Law will present a two-day online conference on cybersecurity and data privacy law. The event, titled âSuccessfully Navigating the Challenges of Cyber ââSecurity and Data Privacy in a Post-pandemic Worldâ, will explore topics such as ethical issues related to artificial intelligence, ransomware, privacy laws. US state confidentiality, cyber insurance, and the legal implications of return to work.
11:30 am (MT) – Greenberg Traurig will host a webinar titled âPrivacy Practices in the Food and Beverage Industry: A Report on Emerging Industry Standardsâ. Partners in the law firm’s privacy and food, beverage and agri-food practices will discuss current and upcoming privacy laws that affect the food and beverage industries, as well as industry standards.
12 p.m. ET – Fox Rothschild and Borden Ladner Gervais will co-host a webinar titled “The Changing Landscape of US-Canadian Privacy and Data Security: What Businesses Need to Know.” Speakers will discuss what companies need to know about their cross-border work, the increase in ransomware attacks, and the privacy implications of Covid-19 vaccination status.
